QR-code inventory management: scan instead of search

With QR codes, every shelf, box and item becomes a scannable point. Instead of searching through lists, you scan with your phone and post in seconds. This is how to set up QR-code inventory management.

Sound familiar?

  • Items are "in the system" but cannot be found on the shelf.
  • Manual searching and typing costs time every day.
  • Postings are forgotten or assigned to the wrong item.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better – QR code or barcode?

Both work. QR codes hold more information and stay readable when damaged; existing barcodes can be used just the same.

Do I need a special printer?

No. A normal printer with label sheets is enough to start; a label printer is more convenient but not a must.
